TIPH supports winter camp for schoolgirls

TIPH supports a winter camp for girls in Hebron at the Ceramic School in Tareq Ibn Ziad.

TIPH in cooperation with the Ceramic School in Tareq Ibn Ziad supports a winter camp for girls in Hebron. Twenty schoolgirls from H1 and H2 area of Hebron learn pottery making during their winter holidays.

–          This project gives schoolgirls in H1 and H2 area of Hebron an opportunity to meet, learn a new skill and have a fruitful holiday, says Hallvard Solevaag, Deputy Head of Research, Analysis and Information Division, in the TIPH.

Pottery is a major craft sector in Hebron. At the Ceramic School in Tareq Ibn Ziad pottery is taught as an art. The aim of the Ceramic School is to keep alive this local tradition by giving the students a possibility to learn various pottery making -techniques.
