TIPH supports sport activities in Hebron

On 07 May 2014, Temporary International Presence in Hebron participated in a volleyball tournament for girls at Hebron Municipality Sport Centre. The tournament is a part of TIPH project “Building Peaceful Communities through play and sport” in cooperation with the international organisation Right to Play.

On 07 May 2014, Temporary International Presence in Hebron participated in a volleyball tournament for girls at Hebron Municipality Sport Centre. The tournament is a part of TIPH project “Building Peaceful Communities through play and sport” in cooperation with the international organisation Right to Play. Around 60 primary school girls and 15 school teachers and coaches participated in the tournament. On 08 May, the second day of the tournament, around 80 primary schools boys attended the TIPH supported activity.

TIPH Community Relations projects contribute to the wellbeing of the Palestinians in the city of Hebron. TIPH financed projects and activities are particularly aiming the needs of children and youth in the marginalized area of Hebron old City and H2.

Building Peaceful Communities through play and sport project applies the methodology of play and sport as a tool to address community issues in Hebron. Teachers and leaders of Hebron community are trained to implement regular sport activities.
