The children will clean in and around their schools and the surrounding areas. The winning class will be awarded with a trip to Akko.

The overall aim of the project is to encourage people in the Old Souq to take care of this historically and culturally important area.

The project, which is done together with the Hebron-France Association for Cultural Exchange, started with an awareness campaign, where teachers and youth have learnt about the value of preserving the environment.

Later there will also be a drawing competition among the schools, where the best 20 drawings will be printed on shopping bags. The shopping bags will be distributed to the families of the schoolchildren participating in the cleaning competition. The idea is to reduce unnecessary use of plastic bags.
