HEBRON 9 OCTOBER. TIPH is deeply concerned about the mounting tension, increased violence and deteriorating situation in our Area of Responsibility (in the city of Hebron). TIPH is a civilian mission mandated by the Palestinian and Israeli authorities to monitor, report and observe on the situation in the city of Hebron and we are present in the city 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Through our observations we are assisting in the efforts to maintain normal life in the city, thus creating a feeling of security among Palestinians in the city of Hebron. As a civilian mission, we do not have the authority to intervene in any situation.

TIPH is concerned about the increasing number of reported attacks. We call on all sides to take appropriate steps to restore calm and avoid escalating the situation. It is crucial that the Security Forces at all times prevent any loss of lives.
