TIPH signs agreement to renovate schools in Tariq bin Ziad

On 30 July 2015, TIPH Head of Mission Geir Holmenes and Dr. Qais Dana, President of Al Mahawer Charitable Society, met for a signing ceremony of a new joint project.

On 30 July 2015, TIPH Head of Mission Geir Holmenes and Dr. Qais Dana, President of Al Mahawer Charitable Society, met for a signing ceremony of a new joint project. Through this cooperation, three schools in the Tariq Bin Ziad area will be renovated in time for the school start at the end of August. The three schools are Hebron Basic School, Hajiriyya Basic School, Thou Al Noorayen Girls School.

The TBZ square is an important area for a socially active TBZ neighborhood, located in H2, close to the Old City of Hebron. In addition to the TBZ Community Center, the neighborhood is home to six boys and girls schools. Through this project, TIPH will finance the infrastructural upgrade of three schools for students to profit from a more educational-friendly environment. The renovation will include rewiring of the electrical network, re-painting of walls and ceiling, re-tiling and refurbish of doors and windows.
