On 29 January 2014, TIPH participated in the closing ceremony held by Aman Society Centre for counseling Development and Community Health in the Spanish Cultural Centre in the old city of Hebron.
The aim of the three month project was to increase women and community awareness for mental health concepts and rights for women living in H1 and H2. TIPH Community Relation section has financed the activities of the project, that consisted of group and individual therapy sessions and awarness lessons for the 70 participating women.
-The project has been very successful and we have received a bigger response than we expected. There is a need for this kind of support for the women in Hebron and we are hoping that we will be able to continue the important work to increase the mental well-being of this vulnerable group of the society. Said Dr. Mariam Abuturki, Director of the Aman Center and responsible of the awareness project.
