The Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH) will open a new office in the heart of the Old City of Hebron in the coming weeks. The office on Salah Al-Din street, just next to the municipal square, will serve as a point of contact and offer a possibility for the residents in the Old City to more easily reach TIPH.

– For us accessibility is important, a new office in the Old City will provide a point of contact in the middle of the city. People can come to us when it suits them, TIPH Head of Mission Karl-Henrik Sjursen says.

The point of contact is being established in the middle of what once was the commercial centre of Hebron. The office will also support the ongoing initiatives by several organizations and institutions that aim to restore normal life in the area.

– The area around the settlements and especially the Old Souk are the focus of TIPH. By setting up a point of contact we show our commitment to our task as observers and to the people of Hebron, TIPH Head of Mission Karl-Henrik Sjursen says.
