TIPH meets Hebron Governor

On 07 May 2014, TIPH Head of Mission Christine Fossen, along with Minister Counsellor Stein Torgersbråten from the Norwegian Representative Office, and a delegation from the TIPH including Deputy Head of Mission Francesco Bilancioni, visited the Governor of Hebron, Mr. Kamel Humeid, at his office.

On 07 May 2014, TIPH Head of Mission Christine Fossen, along with Minister Counsellor Stein Torgersbråten from the Norwegian Representative Office, and a delegation from the TIPH including Deputy Head of Mission Francesco Bilancioni, visited the Governor of Hebron, Mr. Kamel Humeid, at his office. Several key officials in Hebron governorate attended the meeting, including the Area Commander of Hebron, Amin Al-Fawalha, Head of Civil Police, Muhammad Tayyim, and Head of Hebron Rehabilitation Committee, Imad Hamdan.

During the meeting the latest development in the city of Hebron were discussed. The Governor of Hebron, Mr. Kamel Humeid thanked TIPH for its daily efforts, contributing to the well being of the inhabitants of the city of Hebron. The Governor also stressed and thanked the efforts of international community, and particularly Norway, in normalising the life in the city of Hebron.

TIPH Head of Mission, Christine Fossen, assured that TIPH fulfils its mandate through observing and reporting. TIPH also promote stability, economic development and an appropriate environment conductive of the well-being of the Palestinians of Hebron through its various community relations projects.
