Saturday 20 December, a delegation headed by TIPH Head of Mission attended a closing ceremony for a TIPH funded project, that was executed by Al-Huriya radio.
The goal of the project was to equip twenty Palestinian students with basic journalistic skills.
– Everyone who aspires to launch themselves into the public information sphere, carries a great responsibility in how they use information. I wish you good luck in further developing your journalistic skills, and developing this great city and your nation, says TIPH Head of Mission, Geir Holmenes.
On the same occasion as the closing ceremony, Al-Huriya radio was celebrated for their achievement of reaching the highest number of listeners in Palestine’s southern region, in 2014.
– I congratulate Radio Hurriya for their success, Head of Mission added. TIPH encourages you to continue your hard work, and of course to remain loyal to important principles that we, TIPH and Radio Hurriya, share: Accuracy. Getting the facts right is the cardinal principle of journalism, as it is for our observers.
