During the past week, TIPH Head of Mission visited the Consulate General of Turkey and the Consulate General of Sweden in Jerusalem. The Head of Mission also held a meeting with the IDF Brigade Commander in Hebron. In addition, from 6 to 9 November, TIPH was visited by a delegation from the Norwegian Police.

On 16 November, TIPH Head of Mission met with Ambassador Mustafa Sarnic of the Turkish Consulate General in Jerusalem. The visit was part of a series of meetings that the Head of Mission conducts with the embassies, representational offices and consulates of TIPHs contributing countries during November and December. Among other things, the Ambassador and Head of Mission discussed the situation in Hebron.

On 17 November former Head of Mission Arne Huuse visited TIPH with a Rotary group from Norway. The group received a brief about TIPH and had lunch with Head of Mission.
On 19 November, Head of Mission met with Consul General Ann-Sofie Nilsson at the Consulate General of Sweden in Jerusalem. The meeting focused on the escalation of violence and increased restrictions of movement for the Palestinian population that have taken place over the last two months.

On 19 November Head of Mission met with the IDF Brigade Commander at his office in Hebron where they discussed the recent developments in the city. HOM raised his concern regarding the restrictions on the freedom of movement imposed on the Palestinians in Hebron during the last two months and stressed the Israeli government’s obligations under international humanitarian and human rights law. Head of Mission further raised the issue of the use of force in regard to the shootings and killings by the ISF in connection to the stabbing attacks and alleged stabbing attacks.
On 19 November the Consul General of Italy, Mr Davide La Cecilia paid a visit to the TIPH headquarters for a lunch with Head of Mission and TIPHs Italian mission members.
On 19 November, TIPH Gender Adviser and Legal Adviser met with Ms. Safaa Abu Sneineh, Director of Women’s and Children’s Affairs in Hebron to discuss possible future cooperations. The Director emphasised the importance of preventing violence towards women, something which is a priority for the Governor’s Office and a vital part of TIPHs Gender Mainstreaming Strategy. The TIPH Gender Adviser is further continuously participating in a working group on gender consisting of members from different international non-governmental organisations operating in Gaza and the West Bank.
On 15 November, TIPH organised a Fun Day for children in cooperation with Al Khalil Association in Tel Rumeida. Almost 70 children painted and played together and their art was later exhibited outside the building.

From 5 to 7 November, TIPH received the National Police Commissioner Mr. Odd Reidar Humlegård at the TIPH base. Also in the group were the Director of the HR Department Mrs. Karin Aslaksen, Assistant National Police Commission of the International Section Mr. John Ståle Stamnes and Assistant Chief of Police of the International Section Mrs. Gro Jomås. The delagation met with TIPH Head of Mission, recevied briefs on the situation in Hebron and had a tour of the Old City and the H2 area of Hebron.
