Speaker of the Norwegian parliament visits Hebron

The speaker of the Norwegian Parliament Thorbjorn Jagland visited TIPH in Hebron on November 25. He was here, together with two other high level representatives from the parliament, to inform himself of the situation in Hebron. (Hebron 27.11.2006)

He was here, together with two other high level representatives from the parliament, to inform himself of the situation in Hebron. He was accompanied by the Norwegian ambassador to Israel and the representative in Ramallah.

Mr Jagland has done extensive work in the Middle East, both as Norwegian foreign minister and as Prime Minister.

During the visit he was briefed on the current situation in Hebron by the Head of Mission Arne Huuse. The Speaker also visited the Old Town of Hebron and was briefed comprehensively on the situation on the ground.
