Ten new TIPH observers have arrived to Hebron. After participating in an introduction course and having toured the city, the new observers are now ready to start their jobs.
The introduction has included the TIPH mandate, the history of Hebron and also social and cultural codes. Now, one of the big challenges is to learn how to find their ways around the city, without getting lost.
Another challenge is to handle the traffic situation which sometimes can be very chaotic.
There are many things to learn for the new TIPH observers but they are all very eager to start working.
— I came here because I wanted to learn about this part of the world, and if possible, make a difference for the people living in Hebron, says one of the new observers.
All newcomers have a civilian or police/military background.
