New Observers Complete Introduction Course

The latest group of TIPH observers completed on Monday their introduction course with a tour of Jerusalem, where the observers could learn about Jewish and Muslim traditions and claims of the region. The Western Wall, the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and the Temple Mount were visited, as well as other places of significance.

The latest group of TIPH observers completed on Monday their introduction course with a tour of Jerusalem, where the observers could learn about Jewish and Muslim traditions and claims of the region. The Western Wall and the Temple Mount were visited, as well as other places of significance.

Together with the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the newcomers toured Eastern Jerusalem to get an impression of the settlements and the closure regime.

The newcomers are police and military professionals, or skilled specialists in areas like linguistics, law, medicine and human rights. They come from all the TIPH member states: Norway, Denmark, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.
