French minister visits Hebron

Bernard Kouchner, the French minister of Foreign and European Affairs, visited Hebron on his Middle East tour on 23 May 2008. He was given a brief update of the situation by TIPH staff.

The minister was given a brief update of the situation by TIPH staff during a quick walk in the Old Souq of Hebron.

– Visits like this are an important component in the work of TIPH, deputy Head of Mission Domenico Ianniello says. Raising awareness or updating already informed key stakeholders like the minister is essential.

Mr. Kouchner also visited Association d’Echanges Culturels Hébron-France in the old city center of Hebron before his meeting with the mayor and the governor of Hebron.
