Temporary International Presence in the City of Hebron

TIPH is a civilian observer mission in the West Bank city of Hebron. TIPH reports on breaches of the agreements on Hebron and human rights law, and presents its findings to the member countries and to the Palestinian and Israeli authorities.

 
 

Work in TIPH

TIPH personnel are recruited by the governments or recruiting agencies of the six TIPH member states. Only citizens of those states may be employed in becoming an observer in TIPH.

The countries recruit personnel with various qualifications. TIPH needs experienced police- and military personnel, personnel with proficiency in Arabic and Hebrew languages, logistics, international humanitarian law and human rights, and administration.
