TIPH Community Relations

TIPH cooperates with local organizations and institutions to implement projects that contribute to the fulfillment of the TIPH mandate, which briefly summarized is to promote a feeling of security for the Palestinians in Hebron, to encourage economic development and growth in Hebron and to promote an appropriate environment conducive to the enhancement of the well-being of the Palestinians of Hebron.

In order to promote a feeling of security, Community Relations implements several projects that provide protection from physical harassment. One example is the so-called windows protection project where a metal net is installed over windows in Palestinian homes frequently exposed to stone throwing by settlers.

Community relations seek to contribute to economic development and growth in the city of Hebron by supporting income generating projects, vocational training and education in general, and other projects creating incentives for increased commercial activity.

In addition, Community Relations is responsible for disseminating information about TIPH and its mandate to the Hebronites. This is fulfilled by holding information sessions at educational institutions and in local organizations in Hebron.
