As part of a new initiative to revitalize the Old City of Hebron, the Hebron Rehabilitation Committee (HRC) is offering open-air screenings of the immensely popular Syrian TV series “Bab Al-Hara” at the Bab Al-Baladiyya square every remaining night of the month of Ramadan.

Friends and partners of the TIPH gathered for a traditional Iftar at the TIPH base, held in a Ramadan tent put up for the occasion.

Step by step, the new Sports and Culture Center in the Tareq Ben Ziad area of Hebron is taking form. The construction works are well under way, and the center will open its doors to the public before New Year's.

With a tough game at Hussein Stadium in Hebron, the National Entity for supporting the Old City (NESOC) kicked off its new Football Club. A team of youth from the Old City met the players of Mahakim Al-Khalil, winning 4-1.

Thirty girls from H1 and H2 in Hebron attended a pottery class at the Pottery Making School in Tareq Ben Ziad during their school holiday.

More than 700 children with their parents came to celebrate the annual TIPH Neighbourhood Day at the missions` base in Dahiyyet Al-Rame, Hebron.

A tripartite meeting between the Israeli Defense Forces, the Palestinian Security Forces accompanied by the Acting Hebron Governor and the TIPH was held in the TIPH base in Hebron on 9 June 2010.

Environmental awareness was in focus at the Environmental Club project, initiated by the Partner for Sustainable Development Organisation, and funded by the TIPH Community Relations.

On 26 March 2010 TIPH held a commemoration ceremony in honour of two of its members who were shot dead eight years ago. Catherine Berruex from Switzerland and Turgut Cengiz Toytunç from Turkey were killed on Bypass Road 35 just outside the city. Hüseyin Ozarslan from Turkey was injured.

On Thursday 4th of February Palestinian medical doctor and democracy activist Mustafa Barghouti gave a lecture at TIPH headquarters for all TIPH members on health problems in the West Bank and Gaza.

On Monday 2nd of February 2010 Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH) started an introduction course for incoming members. Nineteen new TIPH observers are attending the course, which will last until Wednesday 10th of February.

Saturday 16 January 2010, was the first day of a ten day long educational camp for Palestinian children in Hebron supported by Temporary International Presence in Hebron.

On Tuesday 19 January 2010, TIPH Head of Mission, Britt T. B. Brestrup, hosted the heads of commands of the Israeli Defense Forces and the Palestinian Security Forces in the city of Hebron for a lunch meeting at the TIPH headquarters.
The purpose of the lunch was to strengthen the good cooperation between TIPH and both parties as a part of the TIPH mandate.
The meeting was attended by representatives from both sides as well as senior TIPH staff.

Temporary International Presence in Hebron thanks leaving local employee Salah Sider for his work with TIPH. Salah Sider started working with TIPH in January 2004. His main task was assisting Finance and Logistical Department of TIPH.
TIPH is grateful for his work and cooperation and wish him good luck in his future assignment.

On Saturday 17 October 2009, Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH) participated in the opening ceremony of a Commercial Secretary Training course, arranged by the Hebron Chamber of Commerce and Industry and funded by TIPH.

On Saturday 10 October, the Legal Awareness Campaign will be launched. The aim of the campaign is to inform the Palestinians of Hebron of their fundamental rights.

On Tuesday 30th of June, TIPH organized a downtown tour for Ms. Christina Rau, widow of the former president of Germany Johannes Rau, and Ms. Hannelore Kraft, head of parliamentary group of the Social Democratic Party of Germany in the federal state of Northrine Palatinate, and other visitors from Foundation Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.

On Tuesday 16 June, TIPH staff organized a downtown tour for a high level delegation from the European Commission’s Humanitarian Aid Office (ECHO).

On Thursday 11th of June, TIPH Head of Mission, Britt T. B. Brestrup, invited Brigade Commander Colonel Udi Ben Mucha, Head of DCL Lt. Colonel Aviv Feigel and Liaison Officer Lt. Barak Morag, for an informal meeting with lunch at TIPH headquarter.

On Tuesday 9th of June 2009, Temporary International Presence in Hebron arranged its annual neighborhood day at TIPH headquarter. Palestinians living nearby TIPH headquarter in Dahiyyet Al-Rame, were invited to meet the TIPH members, get more knowledge about TIPH and its work and take part in social and cultural activities.

On Sunday 7th of June 2009, TIPH Head of Mission Britt T. B. Brestrup and Medical Officer Stefan Åkermo met with the Palestinian Member of Parliament, Sahar Qawasmeh, and the General Manager of Al-Mizan hospital in Hebron, Hazem Shalaldah, at the TIPH headquarter.

On Tuesday 28th of April 2009, Temporary International Presence in Hebron welcomed the mukhtars and heads of the Hebron families to the TIPH headquarter.

Brigadier General Britt T. B. Brestrup is replacing Brigadier General Roy C. Grøttheim as Head of Mission for the Temporary International Presence in Hebron (TIPH) on the 28th of April 2009. Mr. Roy C. Grøttheim leaves the mission as scheduled after serving one year and three months as Head of Mission.
