Settler Violence
> The IDF and the police are charged with maintaining order and security and protecting the safety of all persons. A soldier who witnesses a crime done by a settler is obliged – by standing orders from the central IDF command – to intervene and to call the police immediately. If he doesn’t, he can be reported and subject to disciplinary sanctions. If settlers attack you, damage your property or harass you – or if you witness such acts – you have the right to make a complaint to the police. Settlers are subject to the law of Israel. |
