Temporary International Presence in the City of Hebron

TIPH is a civilian observer mission in the West Bank city of Hebron. TIPH reports on breaches of the agreements on Hebron and human rights law, and presents its findings to the member countries and to the Palestinian and Israeli authorities.

 
 

Human Rights Organisations

B’Tselem
This human rights information center works extensively in Hebron. B’Tselem’s fieldworkers document Israel’s human rights abuses in the city. This research is the basis for reports, public awareness campaigns, and B’Tselem’s efforts to promote accountability by Israeli security forces, and law enforcement on violent settlers.

Al-Haq
This is an independent Palestinian non-governmental human rights organisation based in Ramallah. They document violations of the individual and collective rights of Palestinians and seeks to end such breaches by advocacy and by holding violators accountable.

Yesh-Din
This is an Israeli volounteer organisation that work by raising public awareness of human rights violations, and by applying public and legal pressures on government agencies, try to end them. They have a special hot-line that is open 24 hours every day.

Hebron Rehabilitation Committee
Even if it is not a human rights organization, the committee has taken cases to Israeli courts from Hebron concerning house occupations and demolitions land confiscation.
