On 6 December, over 30 diplomats from diplomatic missions to Israel and to the Palestinian Authority followed an invitation from the Norwegian TIPH Coordinator to visit Hebron and TIPH.
The diplomats were from many different countries, including the USA, Great Britain, the Philippines, Lithuania, Romania, Croatia, Greece, Mexico, the Netherlands and Sweden.
After a briefing on the history of Hebron, the current situation in the city and the mandate of TIPH, the diplomats went on a guided tour in the Old City. Many of the diplomats had not visited Hebron before and they showed great interest in the challenges stemming from the fact that Israeli settlements and Palestinian residences are located in close proximity.
