During October 2014 TIPH organised a Capacity Building Program for local organisations in Hebron. 23 participants from eleven organisations joined the course and on 6 November a closing ceremony was held at the TIPH base.

Head of Mission Geir Holmenes attended the ceremony and handed out the certificates to the participants.

– This project aims at strengthening the civil society in Hebron enabling the involved organizations to develop their organizations, and to submit qualified project proposals to the donors. TIPH is happy to support this specific training. Every organisation has an obligation to find new and more effective ways of reaching their goal, and this requires building organisational capacity”, he said.

On behalf of the participants, Sonea Juniedi from Al Mahawer organisation gave a speech.

– I would like to extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to TIPH for what the mission has done and is doing to support the community based organisations (CBOs) in Hebron. CBOs serve a large community, including poor families, orphans and people with disabilities. TIPH’s Community Relations division has worked hard to support and develop the CBOs through activities, projects and trainings. These projects are having a positive impact.

The capacity building program consisted of 40 hours training.
