Celebration of the Palestinian Child’s day

Defence for Children International, (DCI), and TIPH members paid a visit to the children’s’ departments in Al-Alia and the Red Crescent Hospitals in Hebron on the occasion of the Palestinian Child’s day. The Medical Officer from TIPH, together with 35 children from the DCI, distributed flowers and small gifts to the hospitalized children.

Defence for Children International, (DCI), and TIPH members paid a visit to the children’s’ departments in Al-Alia and the Red Crescent Hospitals in Hebron on the occasion of the Palestinian Child’s day. The Medical Officer from TIPH, together with 35 children from the DCI, distributed flowers and small gifts to the hospitalized children.

DCI also arranged activities in other places in Hebron where TIPH staff participated. Fun activities took place in the Tareq Ibn Ziyad community centre in H2 for some 70 children from the area. Among the participants were Shareq Centre, the Palestinian Circus Club and the Palestinian Red Crescent.

The Mayor of Hebron, Dr. Daoud Zatari, and representatives from the Municipality Council Panel also attended at the opening. In the opening speech, held by the Mayor, TIPH was thanked for funding and supporting projects for the empowerment of the children in Hebron.

Since January 2014, TIPH community Relations department is funding The Defense for Children International (DCI) in their project “Children’s Initiative to Community Change” project. The aim of the activity is to empower children and local community actors to defend and protect Children’s rights. The project will last until July 2014.
