TIPH signs project agreements with local organisations.

In early March, TIPH signed four new project agreements with local organisations in Hebron as part of its community outreach activities.

On 16 March, TIPH signed an agreement with YES Theatre for Puppetry play-tour project. The project is a child–focused intervention involving structured activities, supported by provision of Puppets and Puppetry theatre. The focus of the project is participation in recreational, cultural and other non-formal puppetry, theatre and drama activities supporting the development of form of educational and entertainment activities. The goal is to involve the local community, particularly schools children, teachers and parents in the recreational activities. In addition, this project is expected to strengthen the sense of personal identity and help Palestinian children to express and release themselves from the violent situation that characterises in H2 area.

On 8 March, TIPH signed an agreement with the Youth and Children Dreams Charitable Society for Culture and Arts for the project “ Yes for a violence free society”. The project aims at giving children in H2 area and their families the opportunity to address and express their thoughts and giving alternatives to the way of dealing with negative feelings and emotions. The project will further enable the children and their families to find ways to deal with accumulating images and experiences of violence that they carry with them.

On 8 March, TIPH signed an agreement with the Red Crescent for renovating Al Saraya Kindergarten. This project aims to support the steadfastness of the families living in the Old City of Hebron and specially in the restricted areas in the vicinity of the Ibrahimi Mosque. This project includes providing basic services for those families living in the area and Alsaraya kindergarten takes care of the children of these families. In order for Alsaraya kindergarten to continue its work it needs comprehensive renovation and rehabilitation, including an outdoor space to enable children to play outside and combine enjoyment and learning.

On 14 March, TIPH organised a fun day at TBZ Community Center in cooperation with Qattan Foundation and TBZ Community Center. 115 children from Beit Al Maqdes school took part in the event.
